Key skills are abilities and competencies that are essential for success in a particular field or occupation. These skills are often specific to the job or industry, but there are some universal key skills that are important in most workplaces. Some examples of key skills include:
Communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
Problem-solving skills: The ability to identify problems, analyze them, and come up with effective solutions.
Critical thinking skills: The ability to think independently and evaluate information objectively.
Time management skills: The ability to manage one’s time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Interpersonal skills: The ability to work well with others, build relationships, and collaborate effectively.

Some key skills that I have developed as an IT networker include:
Knowledge of networking technologies and protocols: A good understanding of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching is crucial for an IT networker. Familiarity with network hardware and software is also important.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills: IT networkers must be able to diagnose and resolve network issues quickly and efficiently.
Security skills: An IT networker should be able to identify and mitigate potential security risks, such as cyberattacks and data breaches.
Communication skills: The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people is important for an IT networker. IT networkers should also be able to work well with others, both within their team and across departments.
Project management skills: An IT networker should be able to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Analytical and critical thinking skills: IT networkers should be able to analyze data and identify patterns to make informed decisions.
Continuous learning: IT networkers must keep up with the latest developments in networking technologies and trends.
